The location is very ideal.  On one side you can see the view of the Nile and on the other side you can see the view of the zoo.  If you want to shop or trying different food,  the mall is literally next door to the four seasons hotel Cairo at first residence. You have a direct access from the hotel lobby to the mall.

There are two Four Seasons hotels in Cairo.  One is four seasons hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza and the other one is four seasons hotel Cairo at first residence.  Both are located along the Nile. This review is about four seasons hotel Cairo at first residence.

Four Seasons Hotel Cairo

Just like any five stars hotel,  the four seasons hotel  Cairo,  provides different kind of amenities. From multiple restaurants, one  that offers Lebanese food to a buffet that serve breakfast,  rooftop pool to full service spa. Not too mention the very attentive service from their staffs.

Let’s start with the room, our room size  was sufficient  with a balcony overlooking the zoo. It was big enough to add an extra bed. The bed was very comfy as expected from five stars hotel.

The lobby was adequate and decorated nicely. Nothing special but it’s a nice décor.
Now, moving on to my favorite  subject, food. So as a foodie, I love their buffet breakfast. The food was scrumptious. The selection was massive. From the eggs bar, American breakfast to middle eastern breakfast. Different kind of middle eastern bread like zaatar and the onion sautéed liver, kebab, different kind of sweets and drinks. I literally  had to take a break in between trying all these delicious food. It was one of the best buffet breakfast I ever had at the hotel.

Then for lunch, actually I decided to try the four seasons hotel Cairo for their famous Lebanese restaurant, Aura. It is located on the poolside where you can sit indoor or outdoor by the pool. Despite the windy day, I chose the outdoor seating by the pool for a view. Well, let me say, I had eaten in so many different Lebanese restaurant, and this one take a cake. The beef shawarma and rice was out of this world. And the lamb kibbe ( stuffed with meat and pine nuts) and cheese pie was very good.  So, even if you don’t stay at this hotel, definetely  try their restaurant.

If you are not into Lebanese food, the hotel also offer other restaurants that serve barbecue at Xodo restaurant or seafood and Mediterranean  at Zoe restaurant.
Savoring this yummy food while enjoying the view is what vacation are made of.
While the food is extremely  good, the swimming pool is nice but not something that will awe you.

The four seasons hotel Cairo also offers gym and full service spa. It has separate spa area for men and women.  Actually,  I really like this idea of separate area for men and women with separate entrance.  You totally get a full privacy and can enjoy facility at ease. If you want a couple treatment, the spa also offers a private suite over looking the Nile with its own private bathroom, shower whirlpool and sauna.

The spa provides you with robe and slippers. It also has Turkish Hamman, sauna and whirlpool As for treatment, the spa offers different kind of massage, facial, body treatment to healing treatment. I enjoyed the full body hotstone massage. It was really good. The masseuse was highly trained. The atmosphere of spa was so serene, full of relaxation. Since no one was there, I had entire space for myself.

Four Seasons Hotel Cairo

The highlight  of my stay here was definitely the food and the spa. Judging from facilities and services they offer, I can objectively said that the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at first residence is living up to the hype. So, if you have a chance to visit Cairo, this hotel definitely should be on your top pick.
